Idaho Youth Ranch Adoption specialists are ready to help you and your family through the adoption process.

Once you’ve decided to adopt, we can help you determine the type of adoption you should pursue through education and information. Every state requires prospective adoptive parents (no matter how they intend to adopt) to participate in a home study. This study is a detailed written report about your family. Through a series of meetings and interviews, the social worker compiles a complete picture of who you are and what life is like in your family.

The home study process is designed to achieve three goals:  to prepare and educate the adoptive family for adoption; to gather detailed information about the adoptive family that will help the social worker best match the family with a child whose needs they can meet; and to evaluate the suitability of the adoptive family.
