Idaho Youth Ranch Seeks Families for Foster Care and Foster Adoption
The Idaho Youth Ranch in North Idaho is seeking families who are willing to provide foster care or adopt a child with special needs. “The goal of foster care is to reunite families, however, when reunification is not possible, a child in foster care may need a family willing to make a permanent commitment. Of the children who are adopted from the foster care system, about 70 percent are adopted by their foster families,” says Donna Euler, Director of Adoptions & Foster Care Services for the Idaho Youth Ranch in North Idaho. “In 2003 there were a total of 2,382 children placed in foster care, increasing to 3,349 children in 2008, so the need for foster care and foster adoption is growing in Idaho,” adds Euler.
